LEONARD WALTER
Tom Walter writes: "Hello there, I am desperately trying to find some people who served with my grandfather in the second world war. I am afraid I have very little information about him, and unfortunately he passed around five years back now. The information I have about him is listed below, so if anyone knows him or of people who served with him I would be so grateful if you can get in touch! His name is Leonard Walter, and was definitely in the Royal Artillery Regiment. He was moved up north to protect the Scapa Flow early on in the war, and then went to India for 3 and a half years. He then transferred to the Indian Artillery as Quarter Master Sergeant and served the rest of his time in Ceylon. The last thing I know is that he received the Burma Medal. If you can help me to trace his companions, or can offer any advice on how to further my search, then please please get in touch. Kind regards Tom Walter on tom@archangelmediagroup.co.uk |
