My father was Cecil (Steve) Steevens, a Captain in No 1 GT company. He was promoted to Major after the war and also awarded the military MBE. He is the one smoking the pipe in the middle of both the photograph of the officers.

I am trying to find out what the GT means - is it Ghurka Transport? What would this company have been doing and how was it related to the Chindits?  Moira Steevens on motch55@froggy.com.au
