I am Fred Roles, at one time RAF Corporal wireless operator # 1382808 now in my late 70's, living in Canada and am the recipient of the Burma Star. I served in RAF 357 WU ("Y" Service operation) doing radio interception of Japanese Aircraft. I participated in numerous strikes against the Japanese all down the coast of Burma down to Sumatra and Java ( I also hold the Pacific Star). I served on Royal Naval destroyers, cruisers and even the Battleship Nelson from 1943 to the end of the Japanese War.
