Evelyn Kindersley Pulliblank
(Known as 'nip' or 'pip'
Royal Corps of Signals

ALSO

Captain Benjamin Godfrey Pulliblank
Royal Tank Regiment

Daughter Jane would love to hear from friends of 'Nip' or 'Pip' as he was affectionately known..  She writes:

"Mum seems to think Dad's regiment was The Signals, I assume the Royal Signal Corps? He did make sergeant at one point but lost his stripes for driving his motorbike through the Officers Mess! His brothers both died in WW11, Captain Richard Aldwyn and Captain Benjamin Godfrey Pulliblank, who are commemorated at the Kranji memorial, Singapore, and the Nairobi War Cemetery respectively. Was told by my aunt (their sister) that Uncle Ben was in a plane, coming home to the UK, and the plane was destroyed in a storm, and that Uncle Richard was killed by a "trigger happy sniper" (friendly fire) in Singapore, but then recent "evidence" came to light that he was in fact captured and tried to escape in a dinghy and was never seen again. I suppose we will never find the truth! A great pity, really. By the way, Uncle Benjamin was in the Royal Tank Regiment, and Uncle Richard in The Loyal Regiment (North Lancashire)...so my grandparents' sons were quite widespread in their affiliations!
