CAPT RUPERT MAYNE & MAJOR BORRIS HEMBRY
ISLD - FORCE 136 - SOE - INTELLIGENCE CORPS

I am trying to establish contact with anyone who might remember either Capt.Mayne or Maj. Hembry. Capt. Mayne was either with Force 136 or ISLD; Major Hembry started out in Force 136 and later joined ISLD. Both were involved in operations into Siam and Burma during WWII. The children of both of these men have been very helpful but their knowledge of their respective father's activities is limited. So, I am trying to find out about some of their activities and would be deeply grateful if anyone remembers either man and would contact me through the pecbsa@btconnect.com  or at lwil2@hotmail.com . Thank you, Linda Williams

Rupert Mayne as a Captain in the Intelligence Corps. He was in India when the British left in 1947, almost two centuries since the first member of a long line of his family arrived there to serve the Empire, and many of them to die for it.
