I was wondering if someone could help me.. My Great Grandfathers name was Edwin Harold .  He was rank was a1.1228 Captain 1st Punjab Regiment..  This was stated on his marriage Cert of 1947 and on his death Cert of 1991 he was noted as being a Major of the Indian Army (Retired).. has any got any Ideas where I can find information on the 1st Punjab Reg. .I have tried everywhere but cannot find anything about them... My Great Grandfather was Born in Liverpool on the 18th August 1902 - his parents were William Harold and Mary Ann Harold (nee Bottomley).  He died on September 22nd 1991 at his Liverpool address of 21, Yewtree Road, Liverpool 18.
