GEORGE GARNER
Royal Scots Regiment

Message:
I am writing on behalf of my Dad, Gerald Garner, who would like to ask if anyone knew of his father George Garner. (Of Barnsley, South Yorkshire.) As far as we know George served in the Royal Scots in Burma and India some time around 1943 but we do not have many details to go on. My Grandad George sadly passed away last Saturday surrounded by his family, the way he wanted to go. We always respected the fact that George didn't like to talk about his time in the Scots, he was shot twice and lost two of his closest friends, an experience many shared. Now he is at rest my Dad, Gerald, would dearly like to know what happened during that time but we do not know where to start. If anyone can offer any information at all we would be very grateful. Thank you for your time and best wishes to all. Mrs Suzi Shepherd on suzi@digital-fairy.co.uk
