JIM FINNIE

This is a long shot but I'm trying to find out some information or anyone who knew my father - Jim Finnie. He was from Aberdeen and fought in Kohima. He survided the war but died in 1970 (when I was 15). He would never talk about his experiences during the war but my mum mentioned that he was in Kohima and that he "disappeared" in the jungle for an extended period and was presumed dead. I know this is going to be tough 60 years on but stranger things have happened.

I do know that my dad was with the Gordon Highlanders but according to my mum yesterday he was also "in" the Black Watch and Seaforth's...although I think she meant that he was under their command at various points as I didn't think thet moved soldiers between regiments did they?

Thanks in anticipation. Jim Finnie james.finnie@saic.com
