Subj: DEATH OF BRIGADIER DAVID WILSON

Brigadier David Wilson, known affectionately as 'Chuckles', died at approximately 2030 hrs on Monday 12th November, in hospital in Tunbridge Wells. He had been ill for approximately 10 days.

Many of you will be aware that he had recently produced a book 'The Sum of Things' which was the tale of episodes in his long and eventful life. He had recently attended the London Branch of the Regimental Association Balaklava Dinner.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday 20th November 2001 at St Mary's Church, Lamberhurst, Tunbridge Wells. At the request of the family, No Flowers please.

There will be a Memorial Service, in Stirling Castle, sometime next year,  hopefully in the Spring. The date will be announced later.
