Norman sadly passed away on the 9th October 1995 and we are grateful to his wife Beryl Dale for sharing these details of a very well loved member of the Burma Star Association.

DALE N. No 4862702 was a member of the 7th Battalion of the Royal Leicestershire Regiment and served at RAF Wittering in Northamptonshire, India and Burma.

Although with the 7th Battalion, he was transferred to the North Staffordshire Regiment and then to the Royal Welsh Fusiliers.  He did return to the North Staffs for demob.

Norman sailed to Durban on the 'Capetown Castle' in November 1942, returning on the Strathnever in January 1946.

Norman's wife Beryl is very much a part of the Burma Star Association and the Friends of the Burma Star.  We look forward to adding more about Beryl in the near future.

Beryl, like Norman, is interested in the new age of computers and can be reached via beryl.dale1@btopenworld.com
