LES CARNEY
Nephew Ray writes "
My great uncle is Leslie CARNEY who served with the
1st Battalion,The Kings Regiment (Liverpool).
He was killed in action on 5th March 1944,aged 24 and is
buried at the Taukkyan War Cemetary,Yangon,Myanmar. I believe he was
killed during Operation Thursday.
I am the proud keeper of his war medals,which includes the
Burma Star.
