Confirmed Burma Star Association dates

The Wreath laying Ceremonies for 2007 were very successful with nearly 70 people present.

We were lucky this year to have a very proficient Bugler with us and also 30 members of the Blackpool Branch 'on tour'.  
6 Standards were also on Parade.

            The date for Annual Wreath Laying Event  2008 will be 3rd September commencing at 1130hrs at Lord Mountbatten's Memorial on Horseguards following on to Field Marshal Slim's Memorial in Whitehall, London
 

BLACKPOOL WEEK-END REUNION 2008
The 22nd Annual Burma Star Week-End

will be held in Blackpool on the 27th, 28th and 29th June 2008.

FRIDAY EVENING 27th June 2008
1900hrs to midnight - Get Together (Tik Hai Night)
Entertainment - Dancing - Raffle etc
EMPRESS BALLROOM, WINTER GARDENS

SATURDAY 28th June 2008
    1900hrs to midnight - CIVIC NIGHT IN THE EMPRESS BALLROOM
hosted by the Mayor and Mayoress of Blackpool
Gurkhas and Chelsea Pensioner will be represented
Standards etc will be paraded
Entertainment - Dancing - Raffle etc

SUNDAY MORNING 29th JUNE 2008
Church Parade and Service of Remembrance
followed by parade and march dismissing in the Winter Gardens
Entertainment and dancing continues until 1630hrs.

THIS IS A RE-UNION EVENT FOR MEMBERS, FAMILIES AND
THEIR FRIENDS, EVERYONE WELCOME

Saturday 28th June at 2pm in the Arena at the Winter Gardens

MAY WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT MEMBERS APPLY FOR REGISTRATION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO ASSIST WITH THE PLANNING OF THE EVENT
