Only just discovered this site. Been sorting through some stuff at my moms loft and found lots of photos, documents and other items relating my grandad's time in Burma as a soilder with possibly the Welsh Fusiliers. My research continues as I search through the loft, as well as with the help of sites like this. I'm sure that there are many grandchildren and children in similar positions to myself who know that their relative has served in Burma and are equally eager to learn more. I would love to know how others have started their searches and how they are progressing? I will scan some of the photos and post them if I am able as although I do recognise my grandad as a young soilder - there are many others with him on the photos. I have also found a photo of 100+ men at a Burma reunion dinner dated 1951. I also believe that my grandad may have been a prisoner of war in Burma, but am not too sure. -Does any one have information on anything I've said? Mrs Lesley Lewis-Hurst.
