PTE ALLAN W. BARRATT
4th Bn Royal Norfolk Regiment

Niece Heather writes "I have a lot of information about my uncle which I thought I would be able to get into the war graves info and find out more, but after a long time looking I have come across you, so hope you will be able to help me.

My uncle was: Private Allan.W.Barrett, as far as I know he died on 10th Sept 1943 after being on the railway of death. He was in the 4th Bn Royal Norfolk Reg. He was supposed to have been buried in the Thanbyuzayat war cemetery in plot B1 Row G grave no. 10, but I also have info that the grave could be 145 other info I have is BM/4714 (Burma) AG4 . This was all found on a card when my Aunt, his sister died not so long ago, and I have had this bee in my bonnet about needing to find out any more info about his life and death. I hope you will be able to help me if not perhaps you could tell me where to look on the internet for this confirmation of events

thanks. Heather on Kirk41lcd@aol.com
