Grandson George writes: Hello, I am trying to get a view of my Grandfather's service in Burma and am finding it very difficult. His name was George Baird. He was from Fife and had been a territorial in the pre war years and was a platoon sergeant. I believe he maintained this rank throughout. After service in the B.E.F. in France and surviving the subsequent evacuation he was posted to India almost immediately. Could anyone help me in tracking the course of his particular experiences in this theatre. Many thanks seorasbaird@yahoo.co.uk
