On Saturday afternoon a memorial stone was unveiled on a hillside overlooking the Clyde on the Langbank Estate near Port Glasgow. The stone commemorates the 2nd Argyll&Sutherland Highlanders and others who lost their lives in the Malayan Campaign and subsequent captivity. The unveiling ceremony was attended by some 200 people, mostly families and veterans.
