Hi, I am trying to find information about my father's service. I know that he served in the REME and has the Burma Star amongst his medals. What paperwork I have shows that he was appointed a second Lieutenant in 1937, (Royal Tank Corps) and held various ranks up to Major. I have his 'officers release book', but many of the pages are missing. This shows that he was in the REME No 3 Group. My Mother says he served most of the WWII in Burma, and the medal confirms. Army records are missing or incomplete. Is there anyone there who either knew him, knew of him, or knows if there is a way I can confirm his service in Burma (and elsewhere?).
