I am trying to find out about my grandfathers war record - Lance Sergeant E.G Barrett – deceased (S/N 2577993) who was in the Royal Signals during WW11. I have found his discharge papers, service book and MID commendation (London Gazette 37558). He signed up as an OKB class III in 1939 and was released from No. 4 India Air Formation Signals on 28/02/46 as L.S OKB II. I have contacted Army personel centre but any info on background of this group/regiment would be interesting. Thanks.
